The co-op hit Dungeons of Eternity for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro will continue to receive new content for at least a year.
The VR action RPG Dungeons of Eternity is one of the most popular VR games for Meta Quest with over 1,100 reviews and almost a full five stars rating. The number of reviews is even more remarkable considering that the game has only been available for Meta Quest 2, Quest 3 and Quest Pro since October. Developer Othergate has now announced the roadmap for new content.
Busy roadmap for 2023 & 2024
Dungeons of Eternity can be played solo or with up to two friends and features classic action RPG combat with sword and shield, bow and arrow, throwing weapons or magic wands. The dungeons are randomly generated and consist of 100 different chambers with enemies, puzzles, traps and secret rooms. The successful co-op mode has proved particularly popular with fans. All of this will be maintained and expanded in the long term.
The roadmap extends well into 2024, meaning that Dungeons of Eternity will continue to receive new content for at least another year. It starts in December with new monsters, weapon styles, cosmetics and additional dungeon chambers. Othergate has also announced surprise gifts for the community.
New story DLC planned
The next big swing will follow in the spring and summer of 2024:
- New difficulty options
- Offline mode
- Localization of the game into different languages
- Achievement system
- Endgame content and features will be added
- New dungeon quests and challenges will be added
- Arachnophobia mode will be introduced
More dungeons, traps, puzzles, weapons, monsters, bosses, and themed cosmetics will also be added. New quest modes and social VR content planned from Autumn 2024. The dungeons will be reworked, a new playable realm and a paid single-player DLC are also on the agenda. The developers will provide updates on details and specific release dates via their social media channels.
